Australian Grassfed Mince Beef is a versatile everyday essential made from high-quality grassfed beef. It offers a clean flavour, balanced fat content and a consistent texture, ideal for burgers, meatballs, pasta sauces and a wide range of cuisines. Pack of 300g.
Why Choose Grassfed Mince Beef?
Grassfed beef comes from cattle raised on open Australian pasture. It tends to be leaner than grain-fed beef and has a more pronounced, savoury beef flavour, so your sauces and patties taste of real beef rather than fat. It is also a good source of protein, iron, zinc and B vitamins. Learn more about Australian beef at Australian Beef.
How to Cook Grassfed Mince Beef
For a rich bolognese, brown the mince in batches in a hot pan so it caramelises rather than steams, then add onion, garlic, carrot, tomato and a splash of red wine and simmer for at least 45 minutes. For burgers, season simply with salt and pepper, shape gently without overworking and cook on a hot grill for 3–4 minutes per side.
The mince also works well in shepherd’s pie, lasagne, tacos, chilli con carne, stuffed peppers, Asian lettuce cups and Indian keema. As grassfed mince beef is leaner, add a little oil when browning and avoid cooking it dry.
Not sure which cut to choose? Lean, quick-cooking cuts such as striploin and stir-fry strips suit busy weeknights, while bones, oxtail and cheek reward a slow weekend braise. Grassfed beef has a slightly firmer texture and a deeper flavour than grain-fed beef, so season simply and let the meat speak for itself.
